Hi. I have this jade plant cutting (about an inch tall). If I wanted to propagate this, how should I go about it? I was thinking about letting it callous for a few days and then plopping it in perlite. Thoughts?

When I did mine I stuck that puppy straight into a tiny pot of well draining soil. It’s now very healthy and I waited as long as possible to repot it. They are picky about too much watery soil so keep it as small potted as you can and do small upsizes

I propagated my cutting in water and under heavy heavy lighting (1000 FC). He did great and rooted very strongly.

i would suggest soil or perlite as these methods produce a hardier root system from the beginning. jade plants (crassula ovata) are fairly easy to propagate from stem cuttings no matter which method you choose
