Anyone else feel like Planta’s watering schedule is suddenly like way off?? I have 35 plants and I pay pretty close attention to them, but I’ve had to water quite a few DAYS before Planta was going to tell me. And it won’t fix the algorithm after I add the water 🤦🏻‍♀️

I feel like it used to be early a lot, but that’s fine and you can just snooze it. But when it’s a mix of early and late it’s just weird. Been considering giving custom schedules for them but that’s so much work to do for every plant

I do this actually and it’s fun to see the patterns in types of plants watering schedules. I have about 140 plants and basically all of them are custom scheduled

My poles and semi-hydro are scheduled but it sounds so extra to do the other 85 or so

Yea I don’t really tend to use the watering thing on here and moreso just mark down when I do water, and just to have a comprehensive list of all my plants lol Like it wants me to water my prayer plant and it doesn’t need it 😂

I use a moisture meter since my chocolate mint plant supposedly needs water every day but I imagine it’ll get root rot if I do that.

I almost killed my ZZ Raven plant because of Planta. The poor thing nearly drowned from overwatering. It’s the water meter and chopsticks from now on.

Honestly I get both case scenarios of having to water it way sooner than it says or “underwatering it” “it’s sick”. Don’t take it too seriously! I think it’s a good guide to care but obviously use your best judgement. All depends on environment too

Umm. Yeah I agree, it’s kind of all over the place atm. I have one plant that has been giving me notifications way too early. I keep snoozing, saying it’s wet and it doesn’t fix the issue. Meanwhile another succulent I keep having to snooze and I don’t get the option to indicate it’s wet. On the other hand, I have one plant that’s bone dry that I want to water more often. I indicated it’s wet for a while, now I need to do the opposite, but again that option never came up. I ended up deleting that plant and starting over. Sigh…these schedule changes work for the most part, but I’m still having to stay on top of it to catch the edge cases.

I never use the Planta schedule for watering more so to occasionally check if I’ve forgotten any plants for long amounts of time or to get a generally idea of when I should water. I also find it weird that I need to water my snake plants every few days, they hate that. So I think that’s a bit weird
