I decided to transplant this plant to PON, but when I pulled it out of its soil, the color of it’s roots weren’t the light color I assumed they would be. Is it normal for the roots of this plant to be dark like that? When I washed the roots to prep it for PON, a few small roots came off, but nothing appeared to be mushy, like I would think root rot might have. I just don’t have any experience with root rot, so I don’t know what it looks like if a plant has it. TIA!

Is this a fern? They usually have brown roots.

Yup… That’s what it is; I didn’t know ferns had dark roots…🙄; however, now I do! TXS, as usual!

How long has yours been in PON, and how is it reacting? PON is new to me, and I’m extremely uncomfortable using it. Any suggestions? TIA!
