Planta is recommending that I fertilize my new Butterworth but I thought they didn't need it since it's carnivorous? I would like to get more babies out of it so I'm guessing that's what the fertilizer is for. What fertilizer do you recommend using? Or should I turn off the fertilizer reminders? Thanks plant friends 🌵

You have the right idea tbh. Carnivores plant tend to get nutrients from all the bugs they catch. Which yours seems to be doing amazing at!! You can go into the settings for that plant specifically and change it to not remind you of fertilizing.

no fertilizer for carnivorous plants!!!! that's what the bugs are for. any fertilizer will burn the roots and kill your carnivorous plants. you can turn them off or consider it being fed as "fertilizer", whatever works best for you

I’ve read that you can use a heavily diluted orchid fertilizer spray, at the ratio of 1:4, the fertilizer obviously being the lesser of the two. And make sure to only lightly spray it on the leaves and only do it once or twice during the summer phase and never during the winter succulent phase. Or the alternative is to crush up a dried mealworm or a cricket and place a small piece on a leaf. Only do that every few weeks during its carnivorous summer phase
