Thumbs up if you agree with my logic. I've had a ruby ficus for almost 10 months. It had 5 leaves, now only 3. I know it's struggling, I've tried several locations, different lighting grow light, sunlight.., tried different water, filtered, distilled, rain...but sometimes it looks like a sprout is going emerge then it dries up. So, now my logic...I bought a larger ficus. I'll put it nearby...hopefully Ruby finds inspiration and starts to grow. 🤗

I might think about getting a moisture meter that also tests soil ph. They are inexpensive. Whenever I have some of your symptoms, I discover the soil is too acidic. Sometimes this is caused by soil mixes with too much peat. When the soil is too acidic, the plant can’t bring the nutrients into the new leaf. If you discover the ph isn’t right, you have to adjust with some amenities. I have my Ruby about 3 feet from an east window.
