Hey, looking for advice. I’m giving the Maidenhair fern one final try after loosing 2 in previous years but I’ve learnt a lot about plants since then. Both of my previous 2 have died from chronic browning of the leafs that eventually dry up and die as seen in the images. Can anyone tell me where I’ve potentially been going wrong? Thank you

They love humidity and hate drafts and high traffic areas. I would also recommend watering with distilled water or rain water. I have invested in a Zero water filter and I never use tap water for any of my plants. I also use a humidifier for my humidity loving plants. They are very affordable now and it’s worth it. I hope you have a successful go at it this time. 😊👍

Hey thank you so much. I’ll definitely give it a go. Are you saying you water your plants with filtered water? I have a filtered water jug. Never thought of using it to water my plants

Yes, water from the tap has chemicals that are toxic to plants. I had a brita pitcher first but then the Zero was on sale and it comes with a TDS meter so I got it and I’m very happy with it. The TDS meter is good for testing any water and it has a chart to compare. My carnivorous plants can’t have anything but clean water and collecting rain water is a pain but it’s free.
