Hi! I’m new to plants and have a few tropical ones. One of them is a lemon-lime maranta (prayer plant) and a young Thai constellation monstera. I live in southern Az and it’s very dry. I have been putting the plants in my bathroom at night with a humidifier and then bringing them out in my room (a lot less humid) during the day for natural indirect lighting. Is this a good routine for them??

I found putting the humidifier in my room with the ceiling fan and door closed through the day while we are out at work helped my high humidity plants

I wouldn’t move the plants personally. Maranta can be very dramatic and moving round can cause stress. I have a pebble tray near mine and mist it every other day and it’s looking good. Hope they thrive 😊

I agree moving them is not a good idea.

Definitely find the brightest spot and make it his home! And put the humidifier within 3 feet so it is receiving the moisture from the air for aerial root growth👍🏼

I just came to say hi from another AZ native 👋 currently living in NJ. Also, LOVE this plant! To help it thrive I would (1) use a pebble tray under the plant (fill a drip tray with pebbles and keep it filled with water) and (2) do NOT water that dramatic diva with Arizona’s horrible water! I would use distilled water, or if you have a fish tank, water it with that water - they love the nutrients! Best of luck! 🫶

Mine loves my bathroom for the humidity! Only place she thrives. Bright indirect sunlight too.
