    It can be or it can be a sign that the old leaves are dying. Though, when mine was doing this I had a spider might infestation on it because alocasias are spider mite magnets.

      Yep mine started looking sickly with yellow spots and I had spider mites hate those guys

    Mine was doing the same thing! I have one leaf left and it’s got brown spots. Pretty sure I over watered it.
