after repotting my monstera it’s been sweating every single day. i figured the first day or two, and occasionally after it would be normal but it’s everyday! my newest leaf was like soaked! could it be my potting soil is too dense ? 60% potting soil 20% orchid bark 20% perlite. should i be worried? the pot is plastic w drainage edit: Thanks for all the help! she’s actually already doing a lot better, fix the potting mix and pruned her :( sad leaf. yay!

probably too dense. throw some peat or coco coir in there. it's normal for them to guttate or sweat a day or two after watering but not every day.

haha yes and fun fact the sweat isn’t water! it’s sap, it’s a skin irritant and toxic!

This could be important info. What is your source?

Monstera plant sap is mildly toxic and can cause skin irritation, redness, and a burning sensation due to needle-like calcium oxalate crystals - A-Z allergy 😊. I’ve heard this other places before but that’s where a google search brings me

I would say too much watering they usually sweat to get rid of excess water
