Hi there planters! I’m a little worried about my guy here. The soil and chips look a little…. Grey 😬 Thoughts? Should I be worried I’ve included where it is in the room (it is cloudy this morning)

I can’t tell for sure but it looks like it’s outgrown its pot. I’ve repotted and transplanted my ZZs twice and they did really well. Planta says 1-2” larger pot than what it’s in now.

It’s possible your water is changing the color of those wood chips. I’d put it somewhere it gets a little more son for a few days and see what happens! I don’t think that pot looks too big, but that’s just my observation. If the roots are taking up more than 50% of the space in that pot, THE. repot it! The only alternative is to pick off and throw away those chips if they look ugly to you haha
1 me gustaThe wood chips might just be faded from normal watering and sun exposure. But if you haven’t refreshed the soil in a year or two might be time too otherwise it’s most likely just cosmetic.
