Plant Lives MatterAfrican violet. I have no idea why because they’re supposed to be “easy”. My first one died due to root aphids, not really my fault. So then I bought 3 more. 2 of those died but I managed to save the last one from the brink. It’s been over a year and it’s never bloomed. I’m about to just compost him and move on.

I have a thriving African violet. She’s in a west facing window has been for three years. I don’t repot unless completely necessary and I fertilize every so often.

They’re supposed to be easy.. my mom always had one (grew up in MN) and I had success when living on my own in MN and when I lived in Seattle as well.. here in N TX.. no way..
