What are the best house plants other than succulents? I’m looking to add more plants to my collection. I have a lot of succulents, an ivy plant and 2 spider plants. 🪴

Pothos! They are low maintenance and beautiful! Monsteras are very forgiving, just mist them, but growth might take a minute! Philodendron are crazy growers and very hardy!
5 Me gustaOkay thank you! I will look into all of those!
1 me gustaMight want to start with monstera deliciosa
1 me gustaOkay
1 me gustaWhat kind of light does your space get? Like, can you put them in a window? Does that window get a lot of sun? If you’ve had any past plants die, is it because of neglect or do you have a tendency to love them to death?
0 Me gustaThe best plants, especially to start, are going to be ones that are naturally suited to your environment and habits so that it’s a question of how much you can get them to thrive (vs whether you can even keep them alive)
1 me gustaI have a tendency to love them to death. It took me a little bit to get used to not over watering succulents. 😬 My room gets part sun through the day. The windows get a lot of light. I have 2 windows I could put plants in.
0 Me gustaIf you feel like you can keep yourself from over-loving then Zz plants are super hardy and can handle basically any light level. If you like attending to your plants and can offer decent humidity then maybe consider a begonia. They’re more advanced than what you have but the more commercially-available varieties are pretty hardy, fast growers, and fun to prop. I definitely agree with the above comment that pothos and monstera are great choices. Both like to dry out between watering, and most of the monstera you’ll find in big stores will want a pole or plank to climb. Also agree that philodendron are wonderful and there are literally thousands of types. For your first one I would avoid anything with a very velvety leaf. Florida green, silver sword, and heart leaf philodendron would all be good options that are easy to find.
0 Me gustaYes monsteras are a good way to go
1 me gustaMoney trees are lovely
1 me gustaThis is a star bright dieffenbachia that I have had for a couple months! It was my first plant ever and I really love mine a lot. It has been very easy to care for and they are beautiful. Mine gets a good amount of sun and seems to love it. Before watering it, always at-least make sure the top 2 inches of soil is dry so you don’t over water it. When it is time to water, they will take a good amount, with water coming out of the bottom. I water mine around once every week. I will say these plants can get to be a pretty good size so if you are looking for something a bit smaller, I would say to maybe wait on this guy for a bit.
1 me gustaOkay. Thank you. That is so pretty!! 🤩
0 Me gustaThey are very pretty, happy to help!
