Getting the winter greenhouse ready! Waiting on the heating mat but seems like the greenhouse is holding humidity better than I expected. Got a test plant in there to see how it does over the next month.

    This looks so awesome! What kind of plants are you planning to put in there for overwintering?

      Thank you ☺️ It’s for my Alocasias (Black Velvet and Polly). I may throw in a couple other plants if it works well.

    Just from misting in my case and it being in my apartment without heating pads it sometimes gets a little TOO warm/humid in there for some plants lol I wouldn’t worry about it. I have to move them out of the case for a few days sometimes when I snooze watering them more than once so I know it’s been too long since their soil dried out.

      Ya winters just get pretty chilly, causing my Alocasias to die back every winter. The heating pad comes with a temp probe and a regulator so I’m hoping it maintains the temp inside. The greenhouse also isn’t sealed so excess heat should be able to escape. But we’ll see, it’s all a fun experiment really.
