Hyacinth. The bulb plant of spring. And the bulb plant that reminds me of my Grandmothers home. It’s fragrance intoxicating. I gave up in the Philadelphia area trying to get more life out of the first year. All that beauty and fragrance saps the bulbs. You’ll be lucky to get a stalk with a flower or two next year. And that’s depending on where you live. If they’re in the stores now, then I may pick one up today myself. But my advice is don’t put a lot of mental energy into it. If It lives great. It passes on outside then maybe it’s food for a squirrel.
