My Calathea plant is looking sad or is this normal.. I’m a new plant parent and any advice would be hugely appreciated 😁

Calatheas can be pretty finicky with any change, and they pretty much all hate tap water because of the minerals in it. Use distilled or rain water on them. Other than that, others may have better advice. Love the plant btw! I haven’t seen that variety before.

The big thing that most calathea owners miss is that they need high humidity, like 60%. They might be ‘okay’ indoors during the summer but in the winter they will suffer and dry out. Recommend either putting under glass somehow, like a mini-greenhouse, or getting a humidifier. It might also do better in a high humidity room like the bathroom. I have mine in a greenhouse which it loves. I also have a humidifier in my bedroom for all plants that need a little extra humidity.
