Can a plant grow from just a root? I didn’t think a plant could grow without a node, but Google says there might be an exception. Has anyone had any experience or success with growing from just a root? My poor little cutting did not do well, and I might have to put it in my graveyard 😔 so I’m asking for any last bit of help if there is a possibility of saving poor Billy

Not usually. That one definitely not. Occasionally I've seen a perennial that looks just like a clump of roots and it will start growing but chances are there was and eye in there somewhere.

Only time I had a pothos grow from only roots was when it was an entire established root system that still had maybe 1 cm of stem above ground (my cat obliterated the rest of the plant)
