What does everyone use for fertilizer for their indoor house plants. Do you find liquid or solid? Works better?

I like using powder because I mix it in with my watering can and when I water the plant it gets it too. With liquid usually it’s a pump and I’m not the biggest fan because I don’t know how much I’m putting in.

If you mix with water how does that affect the water vs fertilize schedule on app?

I don’t have premium so it doesn’t affect the fertilizer 😂 but whenever it’s watering time depending on the plant I’ll add fertilizer.

I mostly use Miracle Gro. It’s easier and effective for my 200+ tropical plants. I add SuperThrive plant vitamins to the fertilizer water. I have used acidic fertilizer on plants that need them like roses, azaleas, tomatoes and evergreens/conifers. I’ve used Osmocote fertilizer beads on sensitive plants that need slow fertilizer with low chance of fertilizer burns. A lot of nursery plants come with fertilizer beads in the soil. Leaf spray orchid fertilizer is supposed to help hoyas bloom. I used it one season with no luck. Probably operator error. 😁🪴🍀

I second on the osmocote pellets. They’re great for those new to fertilizer without much risk of overdoing it 👍

Do you just sprinkle pellets on soil in pot?

You can mix in the soil. A lot of my plants arrive with the beads on top. It may be the nursery topping up with fresh fertilizer beads before shipping. The beads last anywhere from 3 months to 8 months.
