This is my first monstera and I really want her to thrive. I’ve seen things here and there about removing the small leaves that grow at the bottom, is this true? Which should I remove/how do I tell which to keep and which to get rid of?

I just got my first one today too and was told the same thing! Apparently it helps direct energy to the big leaves so the plant continues getting larger and taller. I’m planning on just snipping them and propagating them!

Orrin🌱I would say it’s pretty useful. Each leaf holds a consistent power from the plant. If you are able to snip from the base of the stem or pluck them from the plant. The smallest leaves or ones that won’t grow near as big as the biggest are.
