Hi there. I am looking for some suggestions on grow lights. I just got a beautiful hutch that I want to fill with plants, but don’t get much sunlight where it is placed. Any suggestions help, I have never used grow lights before so this is new to me:)

Amazon has a bunch similar to these. The shelving units I bought came with some like this, my plants are doing well with them

I have this shelf from amazon that came with grow lights & I have purchased the Barrina T5 grow lights! They both work really well!

I have a multitude of grow lights because I have many succulents. Most inexpensive grow lights on Amazon will not be bright enough. And the ratings are based on that particular light for that particular person. And most have never tried a good grow light and do not realize how bright they need to be. With that said, for your situation, I would recommend Barrina brand. T5 I believe but they have several options. The mounting is simple. They are bright enough for most tropicals. In the pick are Barrinas mounted under shelf. But I have four strips for each section. Tropical plants, maybe two strips. Each of the two foot strips is 10 watts, so 40 watts for each shelf section. That gives you a wattage guide when shopping. For more concentrated lighting I use Sansi brand. Which I actually have more of.

I used a corner curio and added grow lights on each shelf. I’m still working on it, but I think you could use your hutch. I had to drill holes for the cords to go through the back. I’m much happier using this for my succulents than I was for dishes that were collecting dust. It’s not a great picture, but wanted you to see the idea that you could possibly use. I would love to see what you come up with! Good luck

Thanks Phil… it’s a work in progress literally! What I love about it is the background of the curio is mirrored, and the shelves are glass. Works great for my succulents. 😊
