Wanted to share a little bit of my Sunday today 😊 For anyone that’s never been to Ott’s Exotic Plants (in Schwenksville, PA), I highly recommend checking it out sometime this week if you live in the area or will be vacationing nearby. It’s a lovely small business with lots of character in and out, and this is the end of their annual Mum Mountain Season, so I hope some folks can check it out before the blooms are gone. I’ll attach some photos of the inside of their beautiful nursery as well in the comments 🌱

Just some tips for anyone who’s new to visiting: - they have stray cats they care for inside. Please don’t bring your dogs unless they’re service animals. Big crowds tend to scare them off into hiding on busy days, but please be mindful that the nursery is their home - Please don’t pick leaves off the plants or fruit off their fruit trees. They have many beautiful, fragrant fruit trees for sale. Everyone there works very hard on having quality species there, so please be courteous of their hard work. - they have a waterfall and a koi fish pond, as well as a spiral staircase where you can see the top of the nursery from below. It looks a lot like a botanical garden in the center of the nursery. They ask that you do not throw anything in the pond, including food and coins. - Lots of families bring their children, but please be mindful of your little ones, as little hands can quickly try to reach or taste a not-so-non-toxic leaf or flower, and no one wants to see any of their larger plants or trees broken by any little ones. - mums and pumpkins are currently for sale šŸŽƒ

Oh wow I have so been wanting to go see mum mountain. Maybe I’ll go this weekend. It’s an awesome place. Did you buy any new plants during your visit?

I did! A peperomia red luna, a Mona Lisa lipstick plant, and a Hoya mathilde. The last two are gonna be added to my current plants to make them a little fuller in less time; I’ll have to take some photos of them and add them here 😊
