Can avocado trees be kept within a foot of a floor vent? I have seen websites that say avocados cannot be kept next to vents or in a room with a fireplace. Why?

    I don’t have experience with avocados but I would imagine it’s because they’re tropical they don’t like to dry out. Could also be the shift in temps too

    Most plants don’t do well close to vents from the constant temperature changes and drying air.
