My sun green bonsai tree has been dying slowly for about three months now I water it when the soil becomes dry and it gets enough sunlight throughout the day. I’ve read that fertilizing it while it’s in this state is not recommended. I am out of options and I do not know what to do. Any help is very appreciated!!!

Yes, it’s been winter here in Montana and cold

You may want to unpot it and check the roots aren't rotting or rotted. If they are clip off the bad and spray/drench with peroxide. If the majority are toast. It may be to late

If the foliage is really dry I think it's probably toast. I suppose it could send out some new growth but it does not look hopeful to me. Sorry
