Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could tell if this pot is a good size or if it’s too big just judging by the size of the plant. I feel like the pot may be too big but the roots are soooo long so I’m not sure :(

Is the plant not doing ok ? It looks good . I just water around the plant itself if I feel the pot is too big

And the newest leaf is super fragile and wilty. The pot was WAY too big. I put it in an 8 inch pot. Hopefully it doesn’t go into shock and 💀. I don’t know how to leave the plants alone I fear

좋아요 1개you only want a pot that’s 1-2 inches in diameter bigger than the whole rootball. if you feel the plant is still remaining too wet in between waters you could a) put it in more sunlight or b) mix things like orchid bark or perlite in with your potting soil to help increase drainage

I know people often advise to err on the side of larger pots, especially if it’s being planted (activated?) in spring or early summer with these guys. If you have reason to believe it’s still sending out its first set of roots for the season and sizing up leaves then I’d be less inclined to size down and more would just encourage plenty of light and watering the area around the plant
