Snip off any squishy roots. Fill a cup with room temp water and add about a tablespoon of first aid hydrogen peroxide (doesn’t have to be exact. Let the roots and base of the plant sit in it for an hour or so What kind of mediums to you have for potting it up? People usually go with sphagnum moss and/or orchid bark. Leca and chunky perlite could work too

Completely cut off every root that seems to be even slightly affected by root rot: they’ll look brown or black: Dip/Spray all the roots in alcohol and cover the cuts with cinnamon. Repot in orchid soil in a different pot and wait a week before watering or moving it anywhere.

Are the roots mushy? If so Id trim them back? What planting medium do you have them planted in? I think healthy roots are supposed to be white or green but I see some brown and black spots which is concerning.

I’m no expert. An orchid plant I bought years ago died after the 3rd year. And during the second year I took an orchid plant from a guys house because it looked so sickly dry. That orchid plant I still have 2 years later. I watch a lot of YouTube Videos when it comes to saving orchids. A LOT OF VIDEOS. Three, maybe four, weeks ago I watched a video where a woman was saving a very dehydrated orchid, just like my one orchid was. 3 leaves so wrinkled and gasping for water that I think I heard my cactus say: - Toughen up snowflake. We’ll get watered eventually. - After watching a lot of those videos I found one that convinced me to get rid of dirt and do a 48 hours in water with a tea bag, 24 outta water, 24 in plain water, 24 outta water. I think I did that for a week and left it in water, for now. No more out. Supposedly they like black tea (not herbal) so that’s why the first 48 hrs I guess helped to replenish nourishment. Again I’m no expert. If someone told me try ketchup to save them then I probably would try ketchup. I don’t have to though as the videos I watched have worked. Pic is today and I thought I would give him a little tea today. 3 to 4 weeks ago there were no green roots and the leaves were half the size you see in the image. Make sure the center, the place where new growth comes from for the leaves is always above water.
