I was checking my outside pots and found a weed in the soil of a big pot of syngoniums. I thought it was weed that looked like a portulaca. I yanked it and tossed it to realize it’s a peanut plant. 🥜 Two peanut plants in the shell. I ripped off the leaves while pulling them out. I’m sure a squirrel planted it.

1 Like I never thought of planting peanuts until now. I have sweet potatoes in a large 20” wide pot. I’m sure this week’s frigid weather will kill the potatoes. I’m going to plant raw peanuts in the pot come spring. 🍠 🥔
