Why is it that all or most of my plants seem to love pushing their roots thru the drainage holes?! It would be one thing if they were rootbound, but no these usually only have roots towards the bottom of the pot and plenty more room to grow! Makes it harder to know when to repot! I know they reach towards water, but there's no reservoir on some of these pots. It's crazy to me! Ok, rant over. My apologies!

Using a mesh cover over the holes will help.

Do you bottom water? I’ve heard that tends to happen more when you bottom water bc that’s where they “learn” to get water

I use bonsai methods to help. The mesh cover on the holes and flattening roots to prevent them from being so tall!
