SOS: I can’t believe I didn’t see my ruby rubber plant wilting so much. 😩 My last watering was 6 weeks ago and this app is suggesting the next watering to be in MARCH? I just noticed how wilted it got and am giving a thorough watering now. Why would the app suggest 5 months of no watering for this plant? Is this normal for a rubber plant in winter? Will it revive?

Thanks! Do you think going five months without watering is normal? I’ve never really heard of that for a plant.

Five months seems excessive, I’d just keep an eye out and water once it’s fully dry

Did you have the location set to outside and then bring it in? I thought I read on another post that someone experienced this.

No, never! But I’ll just keep an eye on it.

Planta has glitches occasionally. 5 months is too long. Check the soil

March is definitely excessive. Are you using a custom watering schedule or the planta recommended schedule? I have two Ficus Moonshines that I water every weekish, but they are under grow lights.

Mine is also under a grow light! I’ve adjusted the schedules for my other plants but I guess I didn’t for this one… it’s usually every 2-3 weeks or so, but maybe this was a glitch. Planta actually says ā€œNever in Decemberā€ under the watering schedule which is so weird to me!

Yeah, sounds like a schedule setting that needed to be adjusted. This is what I use for my two that are inside for the winter under grow lights. Both of them are in 5in pots under grow lights for 13hrs per day.
