isopropyl alcohol will kill them. It will dry the plant out but the mealies will be gone with consistent applications.

I had Mealy bugs on my pineapple and Monstera. All I did was spray it down with a 50/50 mix of 91% isopropyl alcohol and water in all the corners of the plants consistently every other day for a week or 2. Mealy bugs love to also hide in the roots so I highly recommend digging it up, and checking the roots for the bugs, and giving it new dirt. Even if it looks like the bugs are not in the roots, spray it down with a pesticide or your 50/50 solution to prevent them from hiding there. Isolate your plant from the rest of your plants because Mealy bugs spread really, really really fast!!
