I brought this gifted dying baby back to life and I’m so relieved that over 2 days there is a whole new life coming back. I was gifted 100 plants in one evening from a man moving out of his home and somewhere he couldn’t take his plants that he had in storage. These plants were almost dead. First pic is the day it was dropped off over a month ago and after drying out the root system and being patient I have a large new leaf growing. And I’m not listening to Planta. I’m feeling soil now. My mother was a florist and that made me hate flowers but it made me love indoor plants. I’m so happy this baby is back to life. I have too many plants, but this one will be a keeper. Also: should I remove anything? Still learning. But don’t know much.

You should probably prop it up

That won’t particularly help the plant any, the better thing to do would be to make a splint for the droopy droopy but typically a leaf laying that hard has given up and is being drained of nutrients for the rest of the plant

If that’s an alocasia I wouldn’t remove leaves until they’ve lost all pigmentation and dry out. Don’t wait too long for the petiole to get mushy though. If it’s a colocasia, trim them dangly sad leaves. Alocasia doesn’t like loosing its solar panels, colocasia is more forgiving about it. My 3 colocasia were shipped with any developed leaves cut off, and then I chopped all the ones that were developing off when they arrived as (long story short) they needed a restart.

This is exactly what happened to me! Mine kept dropping leaves until I repotted and dried out. Now shes had two new leaves, praying the leaf drop is over now :)
