Hi everyone, ignoring the VERY COOL halloween decorations, ( i am very compulsive ) this is the only sunlight i get in my room, i have been cursed with a house where the sun is behind me, and i only get little light coming through this window for my plants, do you have any tips on how to have more plants with little sunlight? i am aware you can get the lights however i fear they might be too expensive. Are there any plants that don’t really need sunlight? or any cheap growing lights or alternatives? I want more babies!!! I have 8 at the minute and they are even struggling for their fair share 😖

The little bulbs aren’t too expensive and if you have Amazon the lights go on sale pretty frequently. Mirrors can also help distribute more light in your room!

Zz plant, snake plant, Aspidistra, peace lilies all do okay with lower light levels

I got some dual 18" griw lights at harbor freight for $20 each. I've seen even cheaper options on Amazon. I love the brand Barrina, love Barrina LED Grow Light Bulb with Timing and Hanging System. Runs about $30 depending if they have a coupon or prime sale. It has a built in timer.

The Barrina have sales and coupons all the time. And they have a huge selection. So makes it easier to find something that fits your space.

I've not confirmed of this is true or not, but same with one of the first responses mirrors, and I've heard Aluminum foil too. 🤷‍♀️ I've never tried that!

Amazon has some decent grow lights for cheap, you might be surprised. I got one for $12 that has two gooseneck heads of full spectrum LEDs, and my plants are thriving with them. My brightest window is northeast facing with a long overhang and another building blocking most of the sun, so I can’t keep plants without grow lights. Planta and others will make you think you need to spend hundreds of dollars, but I promise you don’t.
