Just got this plant yesterday, I’m wondering how do you guys feel about the blue glass self watering thing? I filled it yesterday and all the water is gone and I see like water coming to the end of stems but it hasn’t dripped. I don’t want root rot so should I keep the watering thing and put more water in it or take it out?

Plants develop drops like that to expel excess moisture. I would probably take it out. In my experience I rot pothos all the time even without the self watering pots etc.

if i were using those, i would use it sparingly only when the pot is mostly dry. this is my favorite kind of pothos btw!! pothos are very forgiving but id still rather save an under watered one than an over watered:) happy planting!!!

Those glass balls are good to use on watering day only. Remove them when the top of the soil is moist. Leaving water in them too long while in the soil will lead to root rot.

Those globes have to be at a certain angle in order to work properly where the water comes out as needed. I could never get it right and now only resort to use when traveling.
