How to over-winter a Dwarf Papyrus??? This grass plant was given to me, I generally keep low maintenance plants-so I’m not too confident with this plant 😏 but all my research to over-winterize him, is contradicting Planta’s instructions. The picture is from when I first got him-he spent there summer outside- now he’s twice as big! I have him inside (but no great window place) receives some indirect sun from East and recently got it a grow light. How much do I water? How often to mist him?? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Over wintering outdoors usually just goes into removing dead or browning growth and dead heading flowers (if the plant has them). Then protecting the roots/bulb/rhizome from freezing. Since it's indoors i wouldn't think you'd do much beyond remove any browning foliage. These will live in bogs, my uncle has some on the edge of his natural pool, so I'd assume they'd want to be watered often. I'd check it every 7-12 days and dont let the soil go completely dry. When I water I saturate the soil, until the water runs through to the tray. If you bottom water, fill a container so the waters half way up the pot and soak for 30-60 mins.
