Hi all! I’m celebrating my Monstera. She started as a one foot tall plant. She’s now almost six feet wide! After losing two monsteras that I kept on our sun bathed patio. Whoops! I learned that monsteras do not like full sun; even for a couple of hours a day. With my new monstera, I keep her inside near a sliding glass door. She is SO HAPPY! Two products I’ve used for about two years and I highly recommend: Elm Dirt All Purpose Potting Soil and Arber Organic Plant Food. I use both products for many plants from orchids to rare Angel Wing Begonias. The Arber product has a strong musky plant odor, but don’t let this avoid this fabulous product. Neither product “burns” the plants.

I’m almost certain that you have 6+ monstera in a single pot. As long as you’re dedicated to ensuring every individual plant gets the resources it needs to compete, then they should be fine. Unfortunately without an excessive amount of care, they’ll tend to die off one by one as the larger ones suffocate the smallest ones.

Thanks Nikiller! I’ll keep my eyes on them. None of the leaves nor stems show any sign of damage/dying now.

It would be when they’re much larger, around 3+ feet each, it will look like one just hasn’t grown any, then another will stop, and so on, until the smallest one eventually begins to decline after not reaching through to get enough light and not having roots deep enough to get as consistent moisture. You could get away with it for a much longer time if you are careful with watering down the line and provide supplementary light to the hiding smallest ones
