What plants have you had success with at work? I work in the middle of a hospital (nowhere near a window) but feel as though at least one small live plant is necessary for my sanity. I don’t plan on using a plant light because there is PLENTY of fluorescent lighting at my desk…suggestions/ success stories? 🪴

I have a coworker that has a peace lily and a golden pothos in her office that is only fluorescent lights and both are doing great! They even have new growth. I am going to try some spider plants, Pothos and other various plants that I had outside this summer in my cubicle this fall/winter just to see how they do.

I saw a store that grew beautiful Crotons under fluorescent lights.

I have about a dozen plants in my cubicle at work: Rex begonia, snake, pothos, Homalomena, aglaonema, dieffenbachia, Swedish ivy, Syngonium red arrow, scindapsus, two Peperomia, & a staghorn fern. They’re all happy, except the Syngonium… he’s finicky. I have plant lights because our overhead lights are motion activated, so when no one is there on the weekend they’d get no light.
