should I replant this guy its a chroma teneke? if so the white pot underneath that I use for him is big enough but does not have drainage holes. If I wanted to use the same pot again how should I proceed.

Get a new nursery pot with holes… you don’t want to use any kind of pot without drainage if using soil as your substrate

where can i find some?
0 J'aimeThose cheaper nursery pots are at local nurseries and online. They sell them by the stack. You can pay a little more and get hard plastic pots in many colors and a clear variety.

Amazon
0 J'aimeRemove the plastic pot to look at all of the roots to see if it really needs repotting. That single root could just be a root drinking up the excess water in the ceramic pot. Typically, you can cut it off. Then, ensure there is no standing water in the ceramic pot after watering.

I think it was a root drinking up excess water because I haven’t watered it until today since getting it and there was water sitting at the bottom of the pot

definitely don’t pot in a pot with no drainage. you can also order some clear nursery pots on Amazon - they aren’t expensive at all! this way you can better keep track of the roots and when to water your plant.
