I recommend removing the material off the soil to allow the soil to dry out. Slow drying soil could lead to root rot and fungus gnats. 🍀🪴
0 J'aimeThese guys need a TON of humidity. I would recommend putting it in some kind of container (terrarium, cloche, big jar) if you really want it to survive. Never let the soil dry completely, but don’t make it soggy.
1 j'aimeI have a humidifier in the room ~50% humidity. Is that enough?
0 J'aimeI know NOTHING about ferns... Just here to gush! She's GORGEOUS 😍 💖 BTW, I live in Palm DESERT 🏜 🤣 I know dry climate... Some of my plants 🪴 I mist EVERY morning Just about everyone except my Violets and philodendron get misted and they are doing wonderful. I also have 4 LARGE essential oil diffusers, mostly water. 😊😉 Everyone is thriving ✨️ mostly. Good luck! Gorgeous fern!🤩
0 J'aimeI love Maidenhair plants but never had any luck in growing them both died off 😔 they are very pretty but extremely finicky, I would love to try and grow one again. Good luck in growing yours 🍀🤞🏽
0 J'aimeThere is a guy on YouTube who can help it called House Plant Journal he talks about Maidenhairs and how to take care of them I found his channel after mine died
0 J'aimeThanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check it out
0 J'aimeThat is a mother fern or austral gem fern. Not as delicate as maidenhair, but still needs high humidity. I keep mine in a pebble tray and mist twice a week.
0 J'aimeThanks! That does look a lot more like my actual plant!
