Anyone & everyone give me your best advice on these 3 lovely babies! I am new to the plant life & was recently given a few & don’t really know much about caring for them! All of the help is much appreciated! 1. Creeping Jenny 2. Majesty Palm 3. Venus Fly Trap

I don’t know a lot but I do know the Venus fly trap. Don’t give it tap water only rainwater and another kind but I’ve forgot, don’t touch it as it could accidently trigger it which could use energy, And if you do feed it make sure the bugs are actually alive because they need to keep on moving for the Venus to actually trap it, Goodluck!

I use Zero water filter or distilled water only. For all my plants. My flytraps are never allowed to dry out or that can kill it too. I also keep them outside where they can get full sun and live bugs. In winter when they go dormant I keep them outside on my porch because they need to be cold. Some folks use the refrigerator to keep them cold. Flies are fertilizer and don’t keep them alive, sunlight does. They do have long roots so I use a tall pot. My substrate is layered with sphagnum moss on top and bottom and peat moss with chunky perlite in the middle. Be sure to keep the rhizomes covered but not the crown. The other two plants are beautiful but I know nothing about them. lol

This is very useful! He is currently in moss & we have been giving him distilled water as well. He is also outside!

Agree with the above comments! I only use distilled water on my Venus and never use fertilizer. (I've heard they don't like it). I also recently had it bloom and the plant started to die. I looked it up and blooms can kill off the mother plant so I cut the bloom and the plant is doing fine now. Lots of very bright light and do let let it dry out. Good luck!

Creeping Jenny’s can be super sensitive to wind and their roots are super fine and delicate. I like to rotate mine outside for a few hours for sun but keep it primarily indoors. Mine started growing a little too long for its pot and I had to thin it out, I plopped some of it into water prop vases. One is doing great and has grown a lot!
