I’ve had Herman Monstera for about a month now (older picture closer to when I got him) he’s pushing up his first new leaf now! He’s a joy to have added to my collection…good luck with yours, if you get one! I recommend the Thai Constellation variety, love the leaf patterns! He has only just yesterday shown a bit of browning on the edge of a leaf. But that’s as moody as I’ve seen.

I love your friend Herman! He’s a looker! Glad he’s not too moody for you. For no good reason I’m going to name mine ā€œPearlā€. She sounds darling but she’s got some sass to her. I’ll be sure to look at the Thai Constellation variety. Thank you, I appreciate it!

I also recommend Thai Constellation. I’ve had mine for 10 months and it’s stunning. My regular Monsteras and grow as well too, but the Thai is just more consistent

Good luck! The watering was tricky with my first one, but with Planta you’ll have no problem ā˜ŗļø

Herman came in a self watering wick system pot. It’s going well so far…

I have three and they were all given to me as cuttings. I think they are indestructible. The original plain Jane from several years ago. A Thai constellation that I’ve had about a year and is already too big. Plus a small albo that I’ve had for a few months. My favorite plants are succulents so the tropical are not as well looked after. Sometimes actually neglected, but they are thriving.

I have a mini and reg deliciosa, a thai con, a swiss adansonii. The mini got mauled and up rooted by my 2 yr old grandson and was salvaged (lost one corm) and repotted and is thriving. They are pretty hearty with a few basic needs and understanding of their natural habitats. My swiss is growing the fastest, but they are all growing consistantly😊 i got all mine as babies

I recommend them, the normal monstera is not very dramatic the only time mine has ever been was when she didn’t get watered enough .I agree you should get a Thai con but the only thing is they take forever to produce new leaves unlike normal monstera.
