Iāve had Herman Monstera for about a month now (older picture closer to when I got him) heās pushing up his first new leaf now! Heās a joy to have added to my collectionā¦good luck with yours, if you get one! I recommend the Thai Constellation variety, love the leaf patterns! He has only just yesterday shown a bit of browning on the edge of a leaf. But thatās as moody as Iāve seen.
0 likesI love your friend Herman! Heās a looker! Glad heās not too moody for you. For no good reason Iām going to name mine āPearlā. She sounds darling but sheās got some sass to her. Iāll be sure to look at the Thai Constellation variety. Thank you, I appreciate it!
1 likeI also recommend Thai Constellation. Iāve had mine for 10 months and itās stunning. My regular Monsteras and grow as well too, but the Thai is just more consistent
1 likeThank you so much. I will report back because now that Iāve said it, I have to get one. šā„ļø

1 likeQuite literally. Itās been a life saver!
1 likeAbsolutely get one! I have 4 but my fav is my deliciosa and she just keeps growing bigger and bigger leaves every monthš
1 likeOooooh now I must!!
0 likesHerman came in a self watering wick system pot. Itās going well so farā¦
0 likesI love that!! So glad Herman is thriving!
1 likeI have three and they were all given to me as cuttings. I think they are indestructible. The original plain Jane from several years ago. A Thai constellation that Iāve had about a year and is already too big. Plus a small albo that Iāve had for a few months. My favorite plants are succulents so the tropical are not as well looked after. Sometimes actually neglected, but they are thriving.
1 likeI have a mini and reg deliciosa, a thai con, a swiss adansonii. The mini got mauled and up rooted by my 2 yr old grandson and was salvaged (lost one corm) and repotted and is thriving. They are pretty hearty with a few basic needs and understanding of their natural habitats. My swiss is growing the fastest, but they are all growing consistantlyš i got all mine as babies
0 likesI recommend them, the normal monstera is not very dramatic the only time mine has ever been was when she didnāt get watered enough .I agree you should get a Thai con but the only thing is they take forever to produce new leaves unlike normal monstera.
