What’s your watering schedule like? What kind of light does it get? (I’m guessing it’s a watering problem…)

1 likeI just watered it because the oil was dry and I moved it from shade to light but not direct sunlight suggested from the app
0 likesperhaps this baby may need a new pot altogether? also - whats the watering frequency like?
2 likesI just bought the plant :( it was all green like a week ago but slowly gotten worse I just did a emergency water because the soil was dry and brittle
1 likeahh, yeah.. Lily plants are a bit interesting, but I'd offer to water it, and keep it around some more light for today and tomorrow and see if the leaflets start to lift a bit more than how she looks presently..

maybe try bottom watering it. the soil is probably hydrophobic based on what you said, and watering it likely didnt fully saturate all of the soil. fill a cache pot or small bowl about halfway with water, and let it sit there for 30 mins or however long it takes the top of the soil to be moist. let it drain for a while and return it to its spot :) good luck!!
2 likesThis is a diffenbachia plant or dumb cane plant..they need bright indirect light and a well draining soil to thrive..and enjoy humid conditions.. my suggestion would be to pull the flower out the soil and check for root rot.. if you see any black roots cut them away, spray your roots with neem oil or hydrogen peroxide mixed with water, repot in a well draining soil like all purpose soil with perlite, make sure your pot has good drainage( self watering pot) if you have trouble with getting the watering just right, test your plant with a soil meter if you choose to keep it in your pot before watering each time, and put a humidifier on the plant or mist it once a day..good luck!!

That doesn’t look like dumb cane to me…. I am no expert but have had numerous dumb cane plants. I just could have a different variation. They are easy to propagate though.

i agree it looks like a diffenbachia, im not sure about the variety though
0 likesDumb cane is the same as the diffenbachia plant it’s the real name for it.. it was given the dumb cane name because it’s toxic to pets and humans if ingested
