My Spider plant Peter is struggling… I’m a new plant mom so I am lost. All the tips are browning. I trimmed them off and then they went bad again. He seems kinda shriveled and saggy but I don’t think I’m over watering. Could this be root rot? Or something else?
They don’t like tap water it will cause brown tips, especially if you have municipal water.

The brown tips is common due to household (low) humidity, but I’d say the pot is maybe a bit big and he could use more light

I agree with both. Snuggle it in a tighter pot. I buy my water in jugs for my temperamental plants. One spider plant doesn’t care my newer one 😩 had to start bottom watering and also using distilled water for it.

I think it could use more light, that will also help the soil dry out faster to prevent the leaves going limp from sitting wet. Spider plants like to be on the drier side as they have very fleshy roots. My spider plant has never really cared about humidity but was so saggy and limp until I gave it its own grow light.
A little bit of brown tips is normal and likely related to humidity. Make sure you never trim the brown off fully and cut into the green. That will just perpetuate it, as the brown tip acts like a scab to cover the exposed green. You can reduce how much brown there is, but leave some on. You are likely overwatering, relative to low lighting. Wait until the plant looks a little grey in color and the pot is very lightweight before watering it.
