So I know for certain types of plants they can’t be fertilized, like my Venus fly trap, the minerals could kill it ect. So why when I added my Venus fly trap to Planta it suggest I fertilize it? I’ve noticed this as well with other plants. I just click “ignore” or whatever option at the bottom but still. I feel like for beginner plant owners this could have them accidentally kill some plants :( I also have some plants that need to be watered with filtered water, not tap water (as the minerals/chlorine) can effect the plant, and I’ve noticed Planta does not tell you this either when logging a new plant. :/ thoughts?

While I agree that they should mention it most plants that require filtered water tend to be more advanced. By the time people graduate to those plants they should know to do a little extra research. But yes that should totally be a feature.

Planta has upgraded features a lot in the two years that I have known about it. They are totally open to suggestions and have added features based on them. I’m sure your thoughts will be taken into consideration. Connecting with more experienced plant parents has been a gold mine as well. I get my best tips from the community. 🫶🏽
