I’m in the Atlanta area and just picked this up at Trader Joe’s. I have unalived several of these in the past. Please advise how to keep alive without brown leaf tips. It was in a 3 in pot, I took it out to water (bone dry) and there was very little soil..all big fat juicy roots, it’s in a 5in pot in potting soil mixed with perlite, coir and orchid bark

Mine prefers hanging in an east window. Mine tolerates tap water, but it probably depends on the water in your area. If it has bothered before, you probably want to use filtered water. I water about 1x per week. I add a little fertilizer to the water about every 2 weeks. That is about it for me.

I too have killed many spider plants. I currently have one that’s doing pretty well. For mine, I keep it in the window and water with fertilizer every 2 weeks. I also use the bottom watering method which seems to be working pretty well for mine. Good luck! 🤍

Bottom watering and good light. My spider is a rescue from the floor of Home Depot. I only water when the soil is bone dry and I keep him near a grow lamp. I’ve been using Cactus Juice fertilizer on him every month (when I remember).
