Please help! I got this goldfish plant about a year ago and I bought her thriving but now she’s half dead and has yet to put on blooms. I’ve tried new soil a new pot and watering twice a week

I have one and it has given me grief also. My problem, and maybe yours, is that they need high humidity. 50% or more. Mine drops leaves when it’s too low. Also they need a lot of light but no direct sun. I just relocated mine to a place with some morning sun and closer to the humidifier. Even though it’s morning sun, it is filtered. Be careful of the watering because they can’t be soggy. The top two inches or so should be dry before watering. This was trial and error for me because I was letting it get too dry. Pic is her new place. Yellow leaves included.

Thank you so much for the tips! I just ordered a humidifier to put by her and also moved her to a brighter area

Absolutely over watering her. I water mine if a similar size once ever 10-12 days I believe right now. They have succulent like leaves so it’s really easy to over water them. I let mine get fully dry or also my fully dry before I water it. Mine was actually trying to die on me when I got it from being overwatered by the plant shop I got her from and now she’s thriving. They also love lots of bright light.

I was told by the nursery that they need to be watered 3 times a week so lesson learned with doing my own research 😅🥲 thank you for the tip I will be watering MUCH less. The drainage tray is not attached and the pot is has the best drainage of the ones I own

Oh also I can’t tell if the drainage tray is attatched to your pot or not but drainage is suuuuuper important.

I agree they like to dry out between waterings. Mine are in a west-facing window with a sheer curtain.

Thank you, I’ll let her dry out between waterings. I didn’t realize how little they need to be watered
