What’s going on with my monstera!?! Just this one leaf is yellow, but otherwise he’s doing well! Even pushed out two new leaves.

It might just be an old leaf
2 J'aimeMonsteras will drop their older and smaller leaves to promote growth, this is normal and healthy behavior! If you can crumble the leaf in your hand with ease, you can just cut it from the base with sheers.
2 J'aimeHow is your watering schedule? And do you mist the leaves?
1 j'aimeI water it about once every three weeks. I use a water meter to check the dryness. I try to mist it every day but I’ll admit it’s more like every other or every third day.
0 J'aimeIf you’re watering with a meter you should be good! monsteras don’t actually have to be misted, but I don’t think that’s causing the yellow leaves. Like other people said it’s possible that it’s just the plants shedding old leaves
1 j'aimenormal. most plants kill older, smaller leaves in order to conserve energy and produce more & larger leaves. as the plant matures, these smaller leaves become more calorically expensive (for lack of a better word) and begin to take more energy than they produce. only if it starts dropping more leaves quickly would i be concerned.
1 j'aimeSo should we trim this yellow leaf off? Or let it just dry up? New plant mom, here, having the same exact issue!
2 J'aimeSomeone above replied that if you can crumble the leaf easily to cut it off. Mine isn’t there yet so I’ll wait until then.
1 j'aimelet it dry up. cutting growth that's still alive can stunt new growth.
1 j'aimeemphasis on CAN. not every plant is the same
