Any tips to help my chameleon zz grow? I haven’t had new growth in months. Up to date with water/fertilizer/and plenty of light. I want it to have any kind of new growth but nothing.

    well it looks a little sick certainly — have you repotted recently? Zz is native to very hot & arid climates in Africa — so it wants tons of light and not much else. Water this only when it’s bone dry. Fertilize very sparingly as these want to rely on their rhizomes where they store water and nutrients before their roots. the rocks on top of the soil plus the plastic pot is almost definitely retaining more moisture than your Zz wants

      Thank you! It hasn’t been repotted recently and i have it on the Planta watering schedule (plus checking the soil prior to watering). I may just repot in this one without the decorative stones. Some Mother’s Day gift i get myself!

      There are plenty of porous and absorbent pots perfect for ZZ’s. I recommend Amazon, local stores can be fairly limited especially this late in the season

    The pot looks a bit too big for the size of the plant as well. I typically water my zz plant every 2-3 months, however she's not in full sun so that does make a difference in the watering needs.

      totally! mine is in a west facing bay window, in terra cotta and in the summer i still water it no more than once a month!
