Has anyone else tried this with their Strawberry Begonia? I need to know how to cut the runner off to separate it from the mother plant. Thanks so much 🙏😊

If knew that’s what those were, I would have recently purchased one. I had no ideas those were runners they shot out.

That’s an interesting idea and closer to what would happen in nature. It should work fine, but that’s more work than I’m willing to do. These things are super hardy, so you can really just snip them off at the base of the plantlet. Even the tiniest babies with only a few leaves can be cut off and propagated, planted in soil as if they were fully formed plants. Of course, it’s usually better to wait till the plantlet is bigger and has formed some roots. I just recently propped up 20 babies off of one plant, none of them have died. I could have done more if I’d saved the smallest ones, but I was tired 😪
