Has anyone else tried this with their Strawberry Begonia? I need to know how to cut the runner off to separate it from the mother plant. Thanks so much đđ

If knew thatâs what those were, I would have recently purchased one. I had no ideas those were runners they shot out.
1 j'aimeItâs a pretty easy going plant for me and I love the fuzzy leaves đ
0 J'aimeI just have so many hanging plants already in the sunroom and I wouldnât know where to put it.

Thatâs an interesting idea and closer to what would happen in nature. It should work fine, but thatâs more work than Iâm willing to do. These things are super hardy, so you can really just snip them off at the base of the plantlet. Even the tiniest babies with only a few leaves can be cut off and propagated, planted in soil as if they were fully formed plants. Of course, itâs usually better to wait till the plantlet is bigger and has formed some roots. I just recently propped up 20 babies off of one plant, none of them have died. I could have done more if Iâd saved the smallest ones, but I was tired đȘ
1 j'aimeThose runners were attaching to my bookshelf and that gave me the idea to try it this way. I just wish I had found another spot for my Cryptanthus because itâs tricky to get to. Lol
0 J'aimeI saw someone do this with a string of pearls, and they detached from mother plant when they could pull up on the propagation and it was rooted into the new pot.
1 j'aimeI love that plant somehow Iâm never able to find it in stores that I go to whether itâs grocery stores or nurseries Iâm just having a hard time finding that plant but such a beautiful plant. I really hope you figure out how to propagate it!
2 J'aimeCan you believe I found it on Walmartâs website! I canât go shopping myself so I find what I can online đ
