what is on this pepper plant? it’s living next to a lot of other plants and there’s been zero spread, so not thinking it’s a pest.

    can you scratch them off? if yes, these are aphid eggs, not cystoliths. cystoliths are part of the internal structure of the leaf and cannot be removed. these don't look like cystoliths to me, considering they cluster and have a teardrop-like shape, which is characteristic of aphid eggs.

    these have been present for nearly a month. seems long for aphid eggs, no? according to what i’ve read, cystoliths can be easily wiped off, too.

    It looks like guttation to me. It's harmless but usually a sign of highly moist soil and the air is humid, it's basically the plant pushing out excess moisture. You can reduce this by reducing watering frequency, ensuring good drainage or ensuring good air circulation around the plant. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.
