I’d like to report a plant murder. Today I was taking care of my plants - watering, fertilizing - and I was carrying them to the garage in a large tray. My peperomia deppeana (Ana) lifted right out of her pot and there were barely any roots attached. I was going to try to put her back in the pot and see if she would root down again, but instead I gave her pot to my watermelon peperomia (Walter). So I just put her out in my outdoor garden and thought “if she lives, she lives.” It is a really nice terracotta pot (painted white) and I’ve been working on getting Walter going by putting him under a grow light I recently set up primarily for my monstera plants. It looks too big for him but it’s very shallow. I feel like a terrible plant parent, but I wasn’t very emotionally invested in her and I swear it was an accident that she came out of her pot.
